| PQW18A is a high speed photodetector module designed for direct optical-to-electrical conversion of RF-modulated optical signals and provides a minimum bandwidth of 18 GHz. The optical input is supplied through a single-mode 9/125 μm fiber pigtail with an angle polished, low-reflection FC/APC connector. The RF output of the device is provided through a high performance SMA connector. The photodiode inside this module is a high speed Albis InGaAs photodiode, designed to operate over a wide wavelength range from 1260 to 1620 nm. The small, rugged and hermetic 2 pin PQW package makes the detector suitable for installation in high speed systems that are operated under severe environmental conditions. The PQW microwave detector module incorporates an internal bias-T that connects the detector chip to both the bias voltage input and the DC coupled signal output. The PQW is designed to operate as a stand-alone unit requiring a minimum bias of only 2.5 V. |
